Digital Studies 101
Offered both in-person and asynchronously online, this class introduces basic concepts of digital culture, digital creation, and digital accessibility. Students build websites, make videos, record podcasts, and design graphics, learning the fundamental skills of creating and communicating online.
Digital Media Studio
Students gain hands-on, practical experience with video production, project management, marketing, and other digital skills by working together to produce the show “Are We Live?“. Students take turns as writers, producers, directors, video editors, and more to produce this live web show inspired by shows like Saturday Night Live.
Digital Media Production Abroad
Students join the video production team as we spend the month documenting the art, food, culture, and overall experience of living abroad. This course goes beyond the typical tourist videos by using advanced production skills, including live video broadcasts and personal documentary projects, as a vehicle to explore the unique culture of our host city.
